Agenda and minutes

The Minutes of Meeting of Environment, Climate Action and Agriculture Strategic Policy Committee held on 14^th June 2023 were approved on the proposal of Councillor Justin Warnock and seconded by Councillor Paddy Farrell.

There were no matters arising from the Minutes.

Mr. Vincent Dwyer, Head of Finance, advised the meeting the Climate Action Team has been appointed.  Mr. Dwyer introduced Mr. Fintan Coyle, Climate Action Co-ordinator, Ms. Laura McEnroe, Climate Action Officer and Mr. Mark Corrigan, Community Climate Action Officers.  Mr Dwyer also acknowledged and thanked Ms. Marie Mulligan, Senior Executive Engineer for her work on the draft plan. 

The Members received a presentation on the Draft Leitrim Climate Action Plan – Review of Actions from Mr. Fintan Coyle. 

It was agreed a briefing would be arranged for Leitrim County Council elected members before the Draft Leitrim Climate Action Plan went to public consultation. 

The Members received a presentation from Mr. Mark Corrigan, Community Climate Action Officer on the forthcoming Community Climate Action Fund. 

Ms. Marie Mulligan, Senior Executive Engineer outlined the specifications for selection under the National Inspection Plan 2022 – 2026. 

Ms. Mulligan clarified the new criteria for the Domestic Waste Water Treatment [Septic Tank] Grant Scheme starting from 1^st January 2024.

The next meeting is scheduled to be held at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 20^th December 2023.

This concluded the business of the meeting at 12.05 p.m.
