Cathaoirleach, Councillor Frank Dolan welcomed all to the meeting. He thanked all the members and the support staff from Leitrim County Council for their hard work and assistance over the past year. He expressed his disappointment that the Manorhamilton MD is still awaiting an office for the people of North Leitrim.

Councillor Mary Bohan paid tribute to Councillor Frank Dolan for the manner in which he conducted the role of Cathaoirleach.

Councillor Frank Dolan invited nominations for the position of Cathaoirleach of Manorhamilton Municipal District.

Councillor Sean McDermott proposed that Councillor Felim Gurn be elected Cathaoirleach of the Manorhamilton Municipal District for the term 2023/2024.  This was seconded by Councillor Mary Bohan.

There were no other nominations.

On the PROPOSAL of Cllr Sean McDermott 

SECONDED by Cllr Mary Bohan

It was AGREED that Councillor Felim Gurn be elected Cathaoirleach of the Manorhamilton Municipal District for the term 2023/2024.

On assuming the role of Cathaoirleach Felim Gurn thanked his proposer and seconder. The Members congratulated Councillor Felim Gurn and wished him well in his role as Cathaoirleach of Manorhamilton Municipal District. 

Councillor Felim Gurn paid tribute to Councillor Frank Dolan for his work over the past year for the local communities in this municipal district.

Councillor Felim Gurn expressed his disappointment that this meeting was not being conducted within the new office for the Manorhamilton District. He also expressed his wish for the tourism officer to have a base in Manorhamilton.

Councillor Felim Gurn invited nominations for the position of Leas-Cathaoirleach.

Councillor Sean McDermott proposed that Councillor Mary Bohan be elected Leas-Cathaoirleach of the Manorhamilton Municipal District for the term 2023/2024.  This was seconded by Councillor Frank Dolan.

There were no other nominations.

It was AGREED that Councillor Mary Bohan be elected Leas-Cathaoirleach of the Manorhamilton Municipal District for the term 2023/2024.

On assuming the role of Leas-Cathaoirleach, Councillor Mary Bohan thanked her proposer and seconder. The Members congratulated Councillor Mary Bohan and wished her well in her role as Leas-Cathaoirleach of Manorhamilton Municipal District

It was AGREED that the meetings of Manorhamilton Municipal District take place on the 3rd Monday of every Month at 2.30 pm.
