In light of the bank closures and the possibility of Credit Unions and Post Offices taking on extra business and handling extra cash, is there now an increased security risk to these institutions?
A/Superintendent Curley advised the Crime Prevention Officer has visited and advised a number of the financial institutions in the county. The feedback has been very positive and further training will be provided by the Crime Prevention Officer. A/Superintendent Curley advised An Garda Siochana patrols will be increased in areas where these institutions are located.
